A gust of wind blows
carrying rain
It hits my face
But I’m not bothered
It’s nature reminding us
That it’s a powerful force
That can crush oppressors
It can deem their weapons futile
It can shake up their insides
Twist and hurl them to faraway lands
Where they become nameless
The sea rises high
The waves attack
And devour my oppressor
Burying them in the depths of oceans
To rot among sunken ships
The storm subsides
Droplets of water trickle down my window
The storm has retreated
Leaving its signature
My mind is at peace
My soul rejuvenated by its pristine water
Please visit me again
So my life is evergreen
